Since we're still searching for that "spot" to post up at in South America, we had to make a few decisions. Originally, we thought we'd spend a few months volunteering in Mendoza. Then, we thought volunteering in Cafayate for a long time would be great. Since they both were good experiences, but not exactly what we were looking for, we had to make some decisions. Do we go directly to Brazil and work our way up the coast, or do we take the traditional traveler's route and make our way up through Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador to Columbia, then make our way back through Brazil?
After lots of thinking about routes, types of experiences, and looking at the seasons down here, we finally decided that we'd head north through northern Argentina, Bolivia, and make our way up to the beaches in Columbia (we've heard so many times from fellow travelers that it is an AMAZING destination with great people, excellent beaches, a great vibe, and finally safe). After Columbia, we'll head to Brazil and finally down to Uruguay and Buenos Aires to fly out in August.
